The Fish Lake Road is a fantastic spot to watch bald eagles and it has the added advantage of being just 10 minutes out of town. This picture is from last winter and am hoping to get out there again this coming winter, which is quickly approaching!

Great spot for a picnic!

We had some friends visiting from Australia in September and for a day trip we went out on a boat on Atlin Lake in northern BC. It is a beautiful spot any time of year but we just hit it right for the Fall colours. Our wonderful guide Gernot brought us to this small island at the second narrows of Therese Island where we had lunch and enjoyed a stunning view of the Cathedral (in the background). It started pouring rain on the way back but the Aussies were determined to have a good time and sang all the way home, much to Gernot’s genuine delight.
